~Chapter Seven~

The day was dragging along and it was driving Adanna crazy. It wasn’t that she didn’t have enough work to do because there were plenty of things for her to do. She just felt like she was in some sort of time warp that was making things move slowly. She answered questions when asked, talked when needed and made sure that her

employees and customers were taken care of. Her branch was recovering from a slight decline in business which was great news for Adanna. They’d gained new accounts with several small businesses and organizations and where now in a position to hire a couple more tellers to help with the increasing traffic due to new customers opening personal accounts.

Currently she was sitting in her office debating whether or not she was going to pour some bourbon in her herbal tea. She was far from being an alcoholic, Adanna just sipped a little when she needed to get focused. She’d never opened the aged liquor since receiving it for Christmas from one of her bosses. The expensive gift was a welcomed surprise and she was glad to have it. Adanna didn’t know how she was able to get through the interviews she

conducted this morning. Out of the four of them she would be inviting one back for a second interview with the

supervisor in charge of tellers. Two of the interviews were dismal; people didn’t realize the importance of eye contact and a good iron. Wrinkles did not help you during a terrible interview.

The reasoning behind her not considering the other applicant was because Adanna could smell trouble a mile away. Summer Myers reeked of ‘Don’t do it’. It was all over her tall well shaped body. She was dressed to impress and her salmon pink skirt was short enough to see the inside of her thigh when she sat down, sheer

stockings revealed round calves and healthy looking legs. Traveling up her body to the cinched waist of her blouse and the swell of her breast Adanna tried to focus on her face. The Halle Berry short haircut sculpted her bronze face like a picture, her honey blonde

highlights picked up the gold speckles in her eyes. Those eyes looked at Adanna offering more than what the

qualifications of the job required.

Summer answered each question perfectly, she had the potential to be a great employee and with the sexual vibes that she was giving off Adanna surmised that she would be a great lay. With all of the heat in her office because of Summer Adanna knew that there was no way she could work with her, Perhaps she could recommend her to another branch.

A few years ago having a woman flirt with her would not have fazed Adanna but that had changed some time ago. The more she stayed away from home the easier it was to forget that she had Erica to satisfy her needs. Eventually adultery entered the mix. It was one time, one momentary lapse in judgment.
